Investigation

Investigation common to all pre migratory workers

  • Full blood Count with peripheral blood film, Hemoglobin and ESR: to detect any acute and chronic diseases and gives a simple guideline to evaluate and warrant further investigation of workers. For example, allergic manifestation and tuberculosis etc.
  • Blood Grouping: an important record of the pre migratory workers for any emergency while in abroad.
  • Urea and Creatinine: to detect renal mellitus.
  • Blood glucose: to detect diabetes mellitus.
  • VDRL, TPHA and HIV (AIDS) test: to detect venereal diseases specifically sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis, Gonorrhea, Cancroids, AIDS etc.
  • Liver functions test and Hepatitis panel: to detect impaired liver functions and to detect most important infectious liver diseases cased by HBs Ag, Anti HCV etc.
  • Manteaux (Tuberculin) test: to screen infection and contagious diseases tuberculosis.
  • Urine: a complete urine analysis shall be made, on condition that its results should be within the normal limits, provided that it should not contain sugar, albumin or bilharzias in endemic areas.
  • Stool Examination: an analysis should be made for the stool for any gastro intestinal parasites. A stool culture should be done in order to ascertain that it does not include salmonella, shigella and cholera

  • Radiological examination: chest X-Ray, P/A View and other X-Ray as used.
  • ECG: to detect common cardiac abnormalities.
  • Health Care Education , PRE and Post Test Counseling HIV & STD : we always provide mandatory pre and post test counseling tested for HIV / AIDS, syphilis and other sexually transmitted diseases. We consider that the migration process is composed of pre migratory post arrival and reintegration phases and proper counseling of a migrant worker in pre migratory phase can do much in motivation regarding health. The contents of counseling are prepared specially to emphasize facts concerning HIV / AIDS, STD and other basic facts related with migratory health education and motivation.
  • Report Processing storing and medical card/status issue: strict confidentiality maintained as these are security medical checkups. In some cases, the reports are supplied via fax and e-mail to maintain secrecy. The cards are printed with scanned individual photograph, they are heat laminated on which special emboss validator seals are given to prevent tampering with the contents.
